Covering some of the most beautiful countryside and offering various bike trails and plenty of walks for guests of all abilities, including the very popular Gruffalo Trail for children.
The Durham Dales villages of Wolsingham, Frosterley and Stanhope are just a short drive too. With many places to choose from within a short drive, the property lies only 15 minutes away from Bishop Auckland, where the incredibly popular historic Kynren Spectacular is performed between July and September every year.
35-minute away is Barnard Castle and the Bowes Museum.
25-minute away is Raby Castle and Beamish Museum is only 20-minute drive. The historic, cathedral city of Durham is 15-minute away. Here you can wander around the cobbled streets and enjoy the assortment of shops, bars and restaurants, or take a stroll around the beautiful riverside.
